I generally spend my days with my nose in a book or shoving the noses of the next generation into the books I suggest.
For the past four years I have had the priviledge of taking my passion for books and working as an elementary school librarian in Southern California. It may have begun with cajoling and a few well placed threats and bribes, but I have come to experience the joy of seeing students fight over who would get the next book in a series and formally typed letters addressed to me asking that I extend my school library hours.
Reading is not a gift in the sense that some have it and others don’t but instead a highly marketable skill that can be nourished in any child and adult. Old dogs can learn new tricks!
My goal with this blog is to:
- Give detailed reviews on books and series for both adults and children
- Provide relevant breaking news in the book world
- An online book club
- Reading tips for parents
- Beginning library knowledge skills
Come back often and be looking forward to the interactive features like personalized book recommendations!
