Reading is what the BUZZ is all about.

Enjoying reading for its own sake and developing a love for the written word has always been important to me.

Whether I am reading historical fiction to visions of the future or spy novels to horror; a common thread is that these are the books that capture my attention and imagination. They are the stories that draw me in by taking me out of my world and depositing me into another. It is a world created by someone else, but which exists only in my mind. I love how it is up to me how vivid the colors are, how fast the action is, and what the characters sound like. Unlike movies or television, reading a book is always an interactive experience.

So this blog will be about the stories.  The ones we find in books and the stories that come across my desk and the tales the students share and maybe even the wisp of a dream in my own imagination.

My desire is to have a conversation with you, the readers, and to encourage you read outside your comfort zone at times. I hope to help parents have the tools to raise the next generation of readers and writers.  Let’s have a reading revolution!
